Chalk & Thread takes its name from two of the simplest tools of creation — a mark that begins an idea, and a thread that brings it to life.

Chalk & Thread creates a considered wardrobe shaped by restraint, material and form. Minimalism is approached not as an aesthetic alone, but as a discipline — where proportion, texture and construction are given space to speak.

At the heart of each piece is the material. Exceptional cashmere, wool, silk and linen are selected for their intrinsic qualities: touch, movement, depth and longevity. Alongside these familiar fibres, we seek textiles distinguished by provenance and craft — materials whose character has been shaped by place, tradition and time.

Design follows their nature. Silhouettes remain quiet and intentional, allowing the richness of a fibre, the fall of a cloth and the precision of its construction to define the garment.
